Technology Partners

Zend Framework aims to be a one-stop shop for web services and APIs from a variety of partners.

Zend Framework is building an ecosystem of easy-to-use adapters that make mash-ups and Web 2.0 apps quick to build and deploy. All contributors follow community guidelines for submitting Zend Framework code to expose their APIs. Qualifications can be found at Community | Contribute.

A slide show that describes the requirements and benefits of participation in the Technology Partner Program for Zend Framework is available. E-mail ZFMarketing@zend.com to ask about this slide show and further details of the program.

Google Code

Google Code provides resources for developers writing applications using Google APIs and developer tools. It's home to documentation, tutorials, discussion groups and more for the Google developer community.

Google contributes to the Zend_Gdata component of the Zend Framework, which enables easy access to Google Data APIs for products like YouTube, Google Calendar, Picasa Web Photos, Google Docs, Blogger, and more. Check out the Google Data APIs site for more info.

IBM Software Group

IBM Research & Development Labs' Emerging Internet Technologies, led by CTO David Boloker, has chosen Zend Framework to build and deliver several ambitious projects on.

The IBM Software Group has benefited greatly from Zend Framework and correspondingly they have contributed back to the project with a couple of key components, the Zend Framework JSON support and some of the code for ZF's database support.

David Boloker is a Distinguished Engineer and Chief Technical Officer for Emerging Internet Technologies in IBM Software Group.

Microsoft Interoperability

In October 2007, Microsoft Corp. announced a strategic collaboration with Zend Technologies Inc. that will ultimately provide people with better control over their personal information on the Web and greatly improve the trustworthiness of Web-based interactions. Microsoft's relationship with Zend will enable support for information cards by PHP developers through a component built for Zend Framework. Using this as a stand-alone component or as part of the framework, PHP developers will be able to specify a Web site's security policy and accept information cards from trusted third parties.

Nirvanix Cloud Storage

Nirvanix has built a global cluster of storage nodes collectively referred to as the Storage Delivery Network (SDN), powered by the Nirvanix Internet Media File System (IMFS). Accessed over the Internet, the SDN is optimized for storing and delivering large files (audio, documents, photos, video, etc.) and provides massive scalability to deal with the challenges of exponential storage growth. Nirvanix also provides integrated media services (including image manipulation and transcoding) and robust web based management tools.

Since PHP is the platform of choice for Nirvanix customers, integrating IMFS within Zend Framework made a lot of sense. Nirvanix is proud to contribute its storage and delivery libraries to Zend Framework. Through the Nirvanix/Zend integration PHP developers have immediate access to online storage services directly from within the Zend Framework.
