Out-of-the-Box AJAX

We are collaborating with a popular AJAX toolkit to improve Zend Framework's AJAX capabilities. While we plan to make components available that work out- of-the-box with a leading AJAX toolkit, we will continue to support all AJAX toolkits in our MVC and forms implementations.

The Command Line like You've Never Seen It Before

We are currently developing a CLI tool and tooling infrastructure that will bring all the command-line capabilities of convention-based frameworks without bringing along all the conventions- unless that's what you want. Expect new features that have not been seen in any other web application framework.

Multiple Best-Practices Project Structures for Various Hosting Environments

We don't believe that there is one project structure that will work for every project. We are also convinced that a developer shouldn't have to forego useful tools if he or she foregoes a particular project structure. With that in mind, we are creating project structure recommendations that will work in almost any environment. And don't worry, if none of these project structures works for you, we plan to deliver tools that will work with your custom project structures.

IDE Integration

Most web developers list their two most important productivity tools as their web application framework and their integrated development environment. We plan to leverage both to create the most powerful and productive combination for web app development available.
