    <p>Zend_Validate_Iban</p>

    <p>which is able to check the bank accout format but not only for belgian. It is able to check for 39 countries.</p>

    <p>Moved this proposal to archived as there is no change since more than a year and because there exists already a validator which is captable to do this task.</p>
