I am writing a php script to see if an existing user, group or nickname exists. This is a check I need to do before creating a new user. I call retrieveUser, retrieveGroup and retrieveNickname. If you specify an existing nickname,(mail alias), to the retrieveGroup function it throws and error, for example calling:
$userentry = $service->retrieveGroup("astro_boy");
Error 1801: InvalidValue Invalid Input: "email@example.com" thrown in /afs/cs.unc.edu/pkg/apache/linux/common-ssl/php/ZendGdata-1.11.11/library/Zend/Gdata/Gapps.php on line 171
I can workaround by calling retrieveNickname first then exiting. I was using 1.11.9 and got the error, tried the latest 1.11.11 and got the same error.
Error 1801: InvalidValue Invalid Input: "firstname.lastname@example.org" thrown in /afs/cs.unc.edu/pkg/apache/linux/common-ssl/php/ZendGdata-1.11.9/library/Zend/Gdata/Gapps.php on line 171
I tested with several other existing nicknames and got the same error. Thanks for your help solving this.
