ZF-2544: Add message type as argument to FlashMessenger.

Issue Type: Improvement Created: 2008-02-01T08:19:59.000+0000 Last Updated: 2010-11-26T22:39:33.000+0000 Status: Resolved Fix version(s): Reporter: Taco Jung (tjung) Assignee: Marc Hodgins (mjh_ca) Tags: - Zend_Controller

Currently you can't specify what type of message you're sending with the FlashMessenger in Zend_Controller. It's just a message.

I would like to be able to differentiate the messages I'm sending via FlashMessenger (e.g. error, warning, information, tip, etc.) so users can see more clearly what's going on. Therefore I propose to enhance the addMessage method of the FlashMessenger with an additional argument that allows setting the type of message.

Change: addMessage (string $message, string $namespace)

To: addMessage (string $message, string $message_type, string $namespace)

Greetings All,

FYI, I've created a PriorityMessenger - please check it out and tell me what you think?
