No documentation on this validator option in manual.

Option to allow white space in alpha/alphanumeric fields.
This is available, but not documented - only alluded - see below ->addValidator('Alnum', false, array('allowWhiteSpace' => true));

51.2.1. Alnum Returns true if and only if $value contains only alphabetic and digit characters. This validator includes an option to also consider white space characters as valid.

51.2.2. Alpha Returns true if and only if $value contains only alphabetic characters. This validator includes an option to also consider white space characters as valid.
