in document say $validator = new Zend_Validate_Db_RecordExists( array( 'table' => 'users', 'field' => 'emailaddress' ) );

$validator = new Zend_Validate_Db_NoRecordExists( array( 'table' => 'users', 'field' => 'username' ) );

$validator = new Zend_Validate_Db_NoRecordExists( array( 'table' => 'users', 'field' => 'username', 'exclude' => array( 'field' => 'id', 'value' => $user_id ) ) );

and . . .

but Zend_Validate_Db_Abstract no have one param as array example for $validator = new Zend_Validate_Db_RecordExists( array( 'table' => 'users', 'field' => 'emailaddress' ) ); correct code is $validator = new Zend_Validate_Db_RecordExists('users','emailaddress');

This feature will be added with release 1.10.

The manual within trunk describes the features from trunk. The manual within branch 1.9 describes features from 1.9.

The problem is that the actual build process is wrong as it takes code from branch but manual from trunk.

A solution is already being worked on. Therefor closing as non-issue.
